Thanks for stopping by! What attracted you to the mystery genre?
I love to read mysteries, all kinds. I particularly liked to read mysteries about law enforcement so it wasn’t too much of a surprise when I started
and continued with the Rocky Bluff P.D. series.
Do you write in any other genres?
I also have another mystery series written under the name Marilyn Meredith, and I’ve written two historical family sagas and several horror novels.
What inspired you to write Reversal of Fortune?
I read about modern day fortune tellers who bill themselves as giving spiritual guidance and charge huge amounts of money for their services. I was fascinated to learn that law enforcement seldom goes after them, considering them more of a nuisance than someone committing a crime. I did more research and came up with a murder for my detectives to solve. And of course, I continued with what was going in the lives of the characters who live in the beach town of Rocky Bluff.
Can you give us your book blurb so others can find out what your book is about?
A fortune teller is murdered in the small beach town of Rocky Bluff, California. The RBPD’s investigation uncovers several suspects—all with motives and opportunity. But which one killed her?
The body of a suspect is discovered on the fortune teller’s property. Clearly, the two killings are related, but how? And who killed them
Meanwhile, the mayor’s daughter, Kayla, whose best friend is Detective Doug Milligan’s daughter, is upset because her mother’s sister wants her to leave Rocky Bluff to live with her in Los Angeles. Can her friends convince Kayla’s aunt to leave her there with her father?
