Thanks for stopping by! What attracted you to the crime thriller genre?
I love crime thrillers! It's my favorite genre. I love police procedurals, action, forensics, and getting the bad guys. I love books in general, but I seem to gravitate toward the crime thriller genre.
Do you write in any other genres?
I don't write in other genres at this time—but I have an interest in historical and horror. My novels can cross lines with the genres of suspense, police procedurals, thriller, and crime.
What inspired you to write Silent Little Angels?
I've wanted to write a series about a cold case detective in a rural town in the California Mountains. I love writing about police investigations, cold cases, interesting forensic technology, and a trained K9. My interests and degrees are in police forensics and criminology. I've also trained with the police K9 and I have two German shepherds. All of these areas have pushed my inspiration to create this series.
Silent Little Angels is part of a series with Detective Katie Scott and K9 Cisco, but all books can easily be read as a stand-alone. She is a police officer and an Army veteran that comes home to her town where a little girl has been abducted. Secrets and unusual forensic evidence takes Katie on the toughest adventure yet.
